IF I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION FORM ONLINE IS MY COVERAGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY?
No. It is necessary for the insurer you choose to underwrite your application and approve your coverage. We will use the form you submit to transfer the information to the chosen carriers application and e-mail (or mail) it to you for your signature.
DO I HAVE TO SEND MONEY WITH MY APPLICATION?
No. While you may submit premiums for certain amounts with the application it IS NOT required. If you do submit premiums, you will receive a “Conditional Receipt” from the insurer that informs you of their procedures and policies related to funds received with an application. Funds submitted with the application are subject to refund if you do not elect to accept the insurers offer of coverage.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE A PHYSICAL OR GET ANY FORM OF AN EXAM?
While we do have carriers that will underwrite certain coverage limits without an exam, most carriers will require an applicant to complete an insurance exam. The exam is typically done at your home or office and consists of a series of medical questions, measurements of height and weight and blood and urine specimens. Depending on age, requested amount of coverage, or medical history in some instances other requirements may be required. DO I GET A COPY OF THE RESULTS OF MY LAB WORK?
The majority of the carriers we represent will furnish a copy of the medical lab results at your request after the policy has been issued.
IF I FIND COVERAGE CHEAPER THAN MY EXISTING LIFE INSURANCE POLICY HOW DO I CANCEL MY EXISTING COVERAGE?
We do not recommend you cancel any existing coverage until such time the replacement policy has been approved and issued. After replacement coverage is approved and issued, you should contact your existing carrier to obtain their direction on canceling your policy and obtaining any rightful refunds of unearned premium.
ONCE I SUBMIT A FORM TO YOU OR AN APPLICATION TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY AM I UNDER OBLIGATION TO BUY A POLICY?
No. The form you send to us is designed to complete an application and forward it for your signature. The signed form is returned to us for submission to the insurance carrier. At no time are you under any obligation to buy coverage.
